This picture presents a comparison between formaldehyde lines from three famous molecular spectroscopy databases: HITRAN, JPL and CDMS. Simultaneous extraction through the VAMDC portal using the same output format (here the HITRAN format) allows a quick and easy comparison of the data. In this case, we can see differences in contents and absorption intensity values between the three databases. Through such data comparison possibilities, the VAMDC portal can help users for their data choices.
