Nicolas Moreau from the VAMDC Paris Observatory team has developed PHP libraries that allow to access the VAMDC databases. He supported the BASS2000 team in porting those libraries to their own application.

In about two weeks the HELIO BASS2000 could access VAMDC databases without knowing anything about the technology and standards underlying the different VAMDC protocols. What has been done for this portal, can be offered to any other application.
