The species database is a compilation of all atomic and and molecular species available in the VAMDC nodes. It provides informations about inchi, inchikeys and isotopologues. Those informations are crucial to be able to provide a user friendly query interface for the infrastructure. It allows suggestion of values to the user when he builds a request to look for data.
